Most people know of “the force” from Star Wars as being this all-encompassing connection between everything in the universe. It makes for a great story, but nobody thinks it's real. Right?

Well, now scientists have proven that there is an actual connection between everything and everyone that has some aspects of a “consciousness” to it. They say it transverses the entire universe, but so far they have only proven that it exists all around us on our home planet of Earth.

They have done experiments using a random number generator to control where a light shines its beam in a darkened room. They've observed it in documented tests, and it is truly astounding.

First, they run the random number generator to aim the light throughout different spots in a dark room. They show that the light shines in completely different spots randomly. Then, they placed a living plant in the corner of the room and re-ran the tests. What happened???

Very soon, the light started shining on the plant much more frequently than they would have anticipated by the random number generator. We can probably assume that the light, being an inanimate object, didn't have a lot to do with the decision. But the scientists believe that the plant, being a living organism, did have an impact on the results of the random number generator. In effect, the plant “requested” through “the force” that the light would shine more frequently on it. The consciousness of the plant affected what the random number generator calculated.

When I think about this, the hairs on the back of my neck rise up just a bit. So now you're asking me: hey Dave what's the takeaway here. Well, the takeaway is that yes, we are indeed all connected and there is a “consciousness” that exists between people, things and the world around us.
